PRE + POST TREATMENT CARE

During Treatment
During the laser hair removal treatment, you will feel slight pressure and a prickling sensation as the device moves across the treatment area. Treatment is fast, so any discomfort is short-lived and tolerable. Warmth and slight tingling are normal.

After Treatment
• 24 hours: mild to moderate erythema, mild swelling
• 1-2 days: mild erythema, mild itchiness, tight/dry sensation
• 2-3 days: mild skin flaking, dry sensation
• 3-4 days: slight dryness
• 4-7 days: full recovery

12 Hours Prior
Shave the treatment area within 12 hours of your appointment time, except for facial areas. If unsure, please contact your clinic.
Avoid applying moisturiser or other products to the treatment area.

3 Days Prior
Avoid active skincare products containing cosmeceutical
retinol (topical vitamin A) or hydroquinone (whitening creams).

2-6 Weeks Prior
Avoid waxing and sunburn to the treatment area for 4-6 weeks prior. Fitzpatrick IV+ skin types must be prepped on a tyrosinase inhibitor and SPF for a minimum of 2 weeks prior to minimise post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.We recommend Aesthetics Rx Ultimate Serum or Balense Brightening Serum Concentrate as your tyronaise inhibitor. For first-time clients, please schedule a consultation with your local clinic prior to treatment. This allows us to assess your skin, ensure safe treatment, and thoroughly explain the preparation requirements.

24 Hours
Avoid heat induced activities, including:
• Steam rooms & saunas
• Swimming pools
• Excessive exercise

Day 1-3
Avoid active skincare ingredients. Use a gentle cleanser, hyaluronic acid, moisturiser and SPF to ensure the skin heals properly and to maximise the results of the treatment. Recommended products. Aesthetics Rx Revitalising Foaming Cleanser, Balense Daily Gentle Cleanser, Balense Recovery Laser Gel. Day 3+ Recommence active serums

Day 7+
Recommence exfoliating skincare.
We recommend Balense Micro Exfoliant.

Can I do laser during my period?
